No Time To Die is the most important film for many years for 007. It’s endeavouring to keep the franchise relevant at a time when the world is finally waking to the need for better representation and inclusion. So to celebrate the new partnership of the franchise and Nokia as its on-screen tech partner, we decided to use the new OO agent, Nomi, instead of JB. A kick ass black woman who is every inch Bond’s equal. And another big development is that Bond is no longer about super duper gizmos. In fact, we offered up the premise that the only gadget the modern OO agent really needs is the new Nokia with its encrypted security, ease of use and gazillion other features. When it came to the films, who better to bring to life the strength of Nomi’s character than the BAFTA winning director, Amma Asante? The campaign launched on Instagram and then stretched to cinema, digital OOH, in-store retail and ecomm.
